Postdoctoral Position in Metabolomics Core

A postdoctoral position is available in the Metabolomics Core laboratory of Dr. Vladimir Tolstikov in the UC Davis Genome Center. The successful candidate will contribute to our quality services and development of Metabolomics Core utilizing in general, but not limited, LC/MS methodology. Specifically, the candidate will extend Core services to variety of projects, and participate in new method developments based on high resolution and high performance LC-MS methodology. The applicant must have a Ph.D. in biochemistry, organic chemistry, or related field, with experience in mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography. Other preferred qualifications include skills in computer applications related to mass spectrometry/chromatography from different vendors! , LIMS, large datasets handling, statistics, etc. We are looking for an individual who is able to design and conduct experiments independently, has interest in method developments and implementations on SOP level. The successful candidate is expected to maintain high quality LC-MS services based on SOP, prepare and submit manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals, and participate in seminars and weekly lab meetings.
